How to get here
From Hilo (~20 min, ~14 miles)
About 20 minutes south of Hilo on Highway 11 (the Hawaii Belt Road). From downtown Hilo, head south on Highway 11 past the airport and through the cane fields. Stay on 11 for about 14 miles until you reach the Keaau Shopping Center — the big intersection where Highway 11 meets Highway 130. Turn left onto Highway 130 (the Keaau-Pahoa Road) heading toward Pahoa. After a couple miles, turn left into Hawaiian Paradise Park at the Kaloli Drive entrance, then follow Kaloli Drive to 28th Ave. We’re on 28th — look for the Rozett’s sign and the rows of plants out front.
From Pahoa (~10 min, ~7 miles)
Quick trip — about 10 minutes west on Highway 130. From Pahoa town, head west on Highway 130 (Keaau-Pahoa Road) toward Keaau. Before you reach the Keaau Shopping Center intersection, turn right into Hawaiian Paradise Park at the Kaloli Drive entrance. Follow Kaloli Drive to 28th Ave. We’re on 28th. If you hit the Keaau Shopping Center intersection where 130 meets Highway 11, you’ve gone slightly too far — turn around and come back to the Kaloli Drive entrance.
From Volcano (~30 min, ~25 miles)
About 30 minutes east on Highway 11. From Volcano Village or Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, head north/east on Highway 11 (Hawaii Belt Road) toward Hilo. Stay on 11 through the Kaʻu-Puna ranchlands until you reach Keaau — about 25 miles. At the Keaau Shopping Center intersection where Highway 11 meets Highway 130, turn right onto Highway 130 (the Keaau-Pahoa Road). After a couple miles, turn left into Hawaiian Paradise Park at the Kaloli Drive entrance, then follow Kaloli Drive to 28th Ave.
From Kona / West Hawaii (~2–2.5 hours)
Two routes from Kona, depending on whether you want speed or scenery. Saddle Road (faster, ~2 hours, ~80 miles): take Saddle Road (Daniel K. Inouye Highway / Highway 200) east across the saddle between Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Saddle Road is fully paved now and a real time-saver. It dumps you onto Highway 11 near Hilo. Head south on 11 about 14 miles to the Keaau Shopping Center, then follow the Hilo directions above. Southern route via Volcano (scenic, ~2.5 hours, ~100 miles): take Highway 11 south from Kailua-Kona through Captain Cook, Naʻalehu, and Volcano. Then it’s the Volcano directions above. Many West Hawaii customers combine the trip with errands in Hilo — bigger orders make the drive worthwhile.
A few tips before you come
- Bring leaf samples in a bag. If you’re trying to identify something already growing on your property or want to match an existing plant, a leaf or branch tip helps us pinpoint it fast.
- Bring a soil sample if you have one. A handful in a plastic bag tells us a lot about what’ll grow in your spot.
- Saturday is busiest. Monday through Friday afternoons are quieter if you want unhurried time to talk through a project.
- Cash, card, and check all work. We’re set up for whatever’s easy for you.
- Big plants? Bring a truck. We can help load most things, but a few items (large palms, mature fruit trees) need a pickup or trailer. If you’re not sure, call ahead at (808) 982-5422.
